How do I buy a firearm online?

We hold a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and only ship firearms to other FFL and C&R license holders. We are an internet-based business and do not offer store-front retail transactions.

Please do not attempt to purchase a firearm if it is illegal in your state.  Please know your own state laws and restrictions.

The firearm you purchase from us will be shipped to your FFL for pick up and they will perform the transfer.  Please contact your FFL agent and have them email a copy of their FFL to sales@scmilco.com and place the invoice number in the subject line.  It is the buyer’s responsibility to contact their FFL and we will not contact them for you unless required by your FFL.  Some FFL dealers do not accept transfers, require additional paperwork before agreeing to do your transfer, and/or charge outrageous transfer fees, so please check with them first before purchasing.

Once we receive your dealer’s FFL and payment, your firearm will be shipped and you will be provided with the tracking number.  We will also include a copy of our FFL with the firearm for your dealer’s records.

Do you guarantee the items you sell?

We guarantee everything we sell to be as described and as shown in the photographs.  We try to post high quality photos of everything we sell and try to show as much detail as possible so you know exactly what you will be getting.

What is your return policy?

We do not offer an inspection period on items and will only accept them back if they are grossly misrepresented or not functioning properly.  We do not test fire every firearm we take in but every firearm that we sell should fire and function correctly unless noted in the description.  Please look at the pictures closely to determine the authenticity of an item and contact us if additional pictures would be helpful to make that determination.  If it is determined that the item was misrepresented or not functioning properly we will pay for return postage and you will be reimbursed in full.

What forms of payments do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for instant checkout.  We do not charge any type of credit card fees, so that is the preferred payment.  We also accept PayPal, USPS money order, bank money order, and personal checks, but please use the “Contact” tab to arrange payment.  Bank money orders and personal checks will delay shipping as the item will be held until payment clears.

Why has my order failed?

We have our security settings set very high and your credit card will be denied if your billing address does not match the billing address your credit card company has on file.  If you have issues in completing an order, please contact us and we will see reach out to our credit card processing company to see what the issue is.  We will hold items upon your request if there is a processing issue.

Shipping rates, handling fees, & combined shipping?

We try to keep our rates low by using both USPS and UPS and by not adding extra fees for things like packaging or handling.  We cover all insurance costs and package tracking.  If you make several separate orders, we will combine shipping and reimburse you the difference if the other orders have not shipped yet.  If shipping prices seem unreasonable at checkout, please send us a message and we will see if our system is not calculating items correctly.  Please keep in mind that some items are expensive to ship, like ammo and firearms over 48″.

Do you offer international shipping?

No.  We will ship to anywhere in the United States, so if you are an international buyer that uses a US based shipping hub, we will ship to that address.

Do you have a store?

No. We do not have a storefront and are not open to the public.  We do rent secure offsite storage to house all of the items that we offer.  We do work with C&R Guns of River Falls and can drop firearms off at their location for local pickup, although you will be responsible for any transfer fees charged by them.

What is my collection worth?

We do not mind giving free estimates on items or answering questions that you may have about military collection.  We do not offer official appraisals however, but will buy full collections for a reasonable price.  Please use the contact tab to send us questions about items or the “Sell Us Your Items” button if you have items to sell.

Do you buy military items and or collections?

Yes, we do buy individual items and entire collections.  We are always looking for items to add to our personal collections or possible resale.  We pay top dollar for military items.  Please use the “Sell Us Your Items” button to send us a message and pictures of what you have for sale.  Please include pictures and the price desired for a response.

Do you have Layaway?

Yes. If you are interested in layaway please use the “contact” tab and tell us what item/items you would like.  You will then be sent emailed instructions on how to pay the non-refundable 30% down with the remaining balance due within 90 days.

I can not find an address or phone number for your business?

Since we do not have a store front and only sell things online, we do not publish our physical address, but we are based out of River Falls Wisconsin.  We also do not publish our phone numbers as all our employees have other full-time jobs and may not be available immediately to answer questions.  Email is preferred, but we will provide our phone number under certain circumstances.  We typically respond to emails within 24 hours.

When will my item arrive?

Once we enter your tracking number, you will receive an email updating you with the information.  You can also see your tracking number by clicking on your orders tab and then the order number.  The tracking number along with a link to either the UPS or USPS website should be available to see the status of your package.  Most packages ship the following business day after your order was placed.  Firearms may take longer depending on when we receive an FFL from the dealer that will be doing the transfer for you.  It is the buyer’s responsibility to contact the FFL of their choosing and have them email us a copy of their license.

My order shows pending status, is something wrong?

Maybe.  Orders that show a pending status have not been shipped.  If we are awaiting your dealer’s FFL or mailed in payment, the order will remain as pending until all requirements to ship are met.

I have tried to contact you several times with no response. What is the issue?

We typically respond to emails within 24 hours, including on weekends and holidays.  If you have not heard back from us, check your junk or spam folders for our response.  We also will not respond to messages trying to sell us items without how much you would like.

Why is ammo so expensive to ship?

We can only legally ship ammo through UPS and it will typically be a minimum of $14.  It doesn’t matter if you buy a single bullet or a case of ammo, the price will be about the same.

Can I legally buy the item?

That depends.  It is the buyer’s responsibility to know their local laws before trying to purchase items.  High capacity magazines, “assault weapons”, ammo, and inert grenades are the most common restricted items and we have on our webpage and may be illegal in your state.  We try to stay up-to-date on rules and regulations regarding our products, but it ultimately is the buyer’s responsibility to know their local laws.  We may charge a 10% restocking fee if you try to purchase an illegal item.

I saw the same item on GunsAmerica?

We do double-list firearms on GunsAmerica.  We try to take them down as soon as an order is placed, but in the rare case that a firearm is double purchased, we will go by a first-come first-serve basis and the second buyer will be reimbursed in full.  It is cheaper to buy directly from us as we do not charge credit card fees.
