Description
WW2 National Postal Meter M1 Carbine Correct Grade #4107684
This is an excellent example of a correct National Postal Meter M1 Carbine from the 3rd block of production. NPM did not make their own barrels, but this one has an excellent Underwood 10-43 barrel with shiny bore that measures just under a 1 using a CMP gauge. It appears to be all matching including: cartouched walnut Trimble TN & NPM FJA cartouche high-wood stock and TN hand guard, UN marked type 1 barrel band, RN rear flip sight, N front sight, PN recoil plate, N9 trigger housing, SN push safety, SN mag release, HN hammer, SW-N sear, SN trigger, N marked slide, N11 flat bolt, NN firing pin, and IN extractor. The rifle did go through a Raritan Arsenal rebuild and may have received an arsenal repair to the stock. No import marks.
